At AZAR FIRE SAFETY SYSTEMS L.L.C we specialize in delivering reliable and advanced fire safety solutions designed to protect lives, assets, and business continuity. With strong expertise in fire protection engineering and a clear understanding of UAE Civil Defence requirements, we provide high-performance clean agent fire suppression systems customized for modern commercial, industrial, and critical environments.
Our clean agent systems are ideal for locations where water or foam-based systems can cause serious damage. By using proven technologies such as clean agent system FM200 and HFC 227ea fire suppression systems, we ensure rapid fire suppression without harming sensitive equipment. From system design and approvals to installation and long-term maintenance, we manage the complete process with precision and professionalism across Dubai and the UAE.
Our clean agent fire suppression systems are engineered to deliver fast, effective, and damage-free fire control.

At AZAR FIRE SAFETY SYSTEMS, safety and compliance are our highest priorities. Every clean agent fire suppression system we deliver follows strict regulatory and technical standards.
We comply with:
FM-200 (HFC-227ea) mainly extinguishes by absorbing heat from the fire fast enough to stop it sustaining combustion, unlike an inert gas system, which works by reducing the room’s oxygen level. It’s designed to reach its full extinguishing concentration, typically 6.7 to 8.7% depending on the hazard, within about 10 seconds of activation, which is why it’s favoured where a fire needs to be knocked down almost instantly.
The gas itself is clean and leaves no residue, but if it discharges directly into an active flame or onto very hot surfaces, HFC-227ea can decompose into hydrogen fluoride, which is corrosive and can damage sensitive electronics, connectors, and circuit boards if not addressed quickly afterward. This is a known characteristic of halocarbon agents generally, not a flaw specific to one brand, and it’s why inspecting and cleaning affected equipment after a discharge matters even though the system worked exactly as intended.
FM-200 has a global warming potential in the range of 3,000 to 3,600, which has made it a target of international HFC phase-down efforts under the Kigali Amendment, and some regions, including the EU, have already proposed restrictions on new HFC-227ea installations. An existing system can generally keep operating and being serviced, but it’s a genuine factor worth weighing against Novec 1230 or an inert gas system for a new installation meant to last well into the next decade.
Both are synthetic clean agents that work the same way, by absorbing heat, and both use a similarly low design concentration compared to inert gas systems, so cylinder size and space requirements are broadly comparable. The real difference is environmental: Novec 1230 has a global warming potential of about 1 and an atmospheric lifetime of days, against FM-200’s GWP in the thousands and a lifetime of decades, which is the main reason Novec 1230 is increasingly the default choice for new installations.
Yes, when installed and maintained correctly. FM-200 discharges at a concentration well within the safety margin NFPA 2001 sets for occupied spaces, and being non-conductive and residue-free, it’s specifically suited to rooms with people and sensitive equipment together. As with any total-flooding agent, that safety depends on the room holding the design concentration, which is why room integrity and sealing are checked as part of installation, not assumed.
FM-200 systems are designed and tested to NFPA 2001 (Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing Systems), which sets the discharge time, concentration, and room integrity requirements referenced above. In the UAE, installation also needs Civil Defence approval under the Fire and Life Safety Code, alongside manufacturer certification for the cylinders and components used. AZAR manages that design and approval process as part of the installation.
